Polish Translator and Interpreter Cambridge

About me

My name is Marta Zielińska-Moyce, welcome to my website.

Some people want to be an astronaut or a firefighter when they grow up. I was a bit different in that respect, from an early age I wanted to speak English very well. I have always known I’d be a translator and an interpreter when I grow up.

And my childhood “dream” came true! Having graduated from University of Warsaw with an MA in English Philology (2006), I moved to the UK where I obtained an MA in Polish Translation and Interpreting (2009) from University of Westminster and an MA with distinction in Conference Interpreting (2018) from London Metropolitan University.

I hold a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Law option. I am a UK registered Public Service Interpreter (NRPSI no 15013), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL no 52138). I have over 15 years of experience in translation and interpreting for the public sector. My main specialisation is legal interpreting and translation. My clients include HM Courts and Tribunals Services, various solicitors as well as Cambridgeshire Constabulary and other police forces. I have also interpreted for a number of City and County Councils, social services and the NHS.

My conference interpreting experience includes among others working at European Works Councils for different international companies (e.g. Cargill, Air Liquide, Caterpillar), town hall meetings (Burberry), pharmaceutical company meetings (BD) and various webinars

I translate a wide range of texts from official and legal to promotional. I provide certified translations into English for the British institutions. As for the Polish institutions, I have completed a course for sworn translators (tłumacz przysięgły) and am about to take the official exam organised by the Polish Ministry of Justice.

I believe that learning is a life-long process, I’m always keen to gain new skills and learn new things. Doing my job allows me to do just that. That’s why I love it so much!
